Divyank Turakhia richest Indian Under-40, Odisha-born Ritesh Agarwal at No 10

Divyank Turakhia, an Indian-born computer-programmer, businessman and founder of Media.net is on the top of IIFL Wealth Hurun India 40 & Under Self-Made Rich List 2021, with a net worth of Rs 12,500 crore.

Turakhia, born in 1982, received his early education from Arya Vidya Mandir in Mumbai and later graduated from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (University of Mumbai).  He sold Media.net in 2016 to a Chinese consortium for $900 million.

Turakhia is followed by Nakul Aggarwal and Ritesh Arora of BrowserStack with wealth of Rs 12,400 crore each.

Odisha-born Ritesh Agarwal of Oravel Stays, which operates OYO Rooms, ranked no 10 in the list with a wealth of Rs 6,300 crore.

Riding the stock market boom, Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha ranked no 5 with a wealth of Rs 11,100 crore, while Binny Bansal and Sachin Bansal, founders of Flipkart ranked no 7 and no 8 with wealth of Rs 8,000 crore and Rs 7,800 crore respectively.

Co-founder of Confluent, a streaming data technology company, Neha Narkhede Aged 36 is the youngest self-made woman entrepreneur in India with a wealth of Rs 12,200 crore and ranked no 4 in the list.

Bhavish Aggarwal, founder of ANI Technologies, which operates Ola Cabs, is at no 9 with a wealth of Rs 7,500 crore.

With 15 individuals, Bengaluru is the most preferred city for business headquarter for these young wealth creators, followed by New Delhi with 8 and Mumbai with 5.

Manish Kumar Dabkara (37), founder of Eki Energy, which registered a strong IPO on the BSE-SME platform, is the only non-tech debutant in the list.
