Reliance Jio will offer broadband services to the Micro, Small and Medium Businesses (MSMBs) at lower tariffs, which it claims to be at one-tenth cost of its competitors.
The company said it will offer unlimited broadband and voice services at Rs 901, where the broadband speed will be 100 MBPS. It claims the same service is charged at Rs 9,900 by its competitor.
“Currently, a micro and small business spends between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 per month towards connectivity, productivity and automation tools. Today, we are taking the first step towards empowering small businesses by giving these solutions, along with our connectivity, for less than 1/10th the cost, starting below one thousand rupees per month,” said Akash Ambani, director of Jio.
He said micro, small and medium businesses are the bedrock of Indian economy. Currently, in the absence of an integrated digital services offering and the knowhow to adopt advanced enterprise offerings, they are unable to leverage the power of digital technologies to run their businesses efficiently, he added.
Jio will also offer Microsoft 365 with Office Apps, Outlook Email, One Drive, Teams, JioMeet video conferencing system and other facilities with higher plans that has a monthly rental of Rs 5,001.
The company is aiming to empower 50 million MSMB customers.
