Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL) has expressed its interest to build a container manufacturing unit at Paradip Port in Odisha, according to media reports.
Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSPL discussed about the project during a visit to Paradip Port, which will be the first of its kind in Odisha, the reports said quoting sources.
This will be a port-based container manufacturing unit and will be built over 100 acres of land. Media reports said that the port authorities have agreed to provide 100 acres of land, required for this.
Jindal also discussed about JSPL’s proposal for a dedicated railway freight corridor from Angul to Paradip.
