Odisha govt postpones Class X, Class XII board exams amid rising Covid-19 cases

After CBSE postponed its Class XII and cancelled its Class X exams, Odisha government also announced postponement of all 10th & 12th state board exams amid rising Covid-19 cases.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said all students of classes IX and XI in the current academic year will be prompted to next classes without taking any exam.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) had scheduled to conduct the class X and and Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) was supposed to conduct Class XII exams on May 3 and May 18 respectively.

The government will decide on the new exam schedules in June first week and students will be given ample time to prepare for the exams.

Apart from these board exams, the state government also postponed the exams of 1st semester Winter 2020 Exams of Diploma and PDIS courses scheduled from April 16, 2021. The revised date of exams shall be informed in due course of time.
